Congrats Keith. Yeah, we'll see how long you keep it.

And I say put it back to stock, too. From what I've read, you compromise greatly the performance characteristics of the bike when they get lowered.

Big +1.

Congrats Keith. A buddy of mine had one just like it, I rode it and it felt really smooth

this is all what you need to get.

full exhaust =graves or akra
slip on =termi, race fit, or akra.
rearsets=gilles
get the suspension adjusted
velocity stacks= factory pro or graves
graves slide stops
520-525 chain kit.
power commander
and some brake lines (the stock brakes suck)
and a dampener.

Picked this bike up with my trailer late last night. I was out riding it all day today and it is certainly a blast to ride. It's an '05 with just under 7300 miles. In excellent shape with just a few very minor scrapes. Puig double bubble tinted windscreen, frame sliders, flush mount signals and a couple other small upgrades. It is lowered 2" front and rear with Vortex links, Motorcycles Unlimited did the work and the previous owner provided me with all the documentation. Only a couple things I'd like to get done to it in the near future. The stock can has got to go! I am looking for a short can that matches the black on the bike. Also, I could stand to have the rearsets and passenger pegs powdercoated but I have plenty of time for that. Just got myself a year policy through Progressive, now I need to get all the title stuff figured out. If you have any suggestions for mods please let me know! Here are a couple pics:

If you go back to stock height and aren't secure with the foot lever, you could crouch the bike a little, you will cause the side fenders to get close when cornering aggresively and you would need to adjust the headlight aim. This will give an aggressive stance that puts more weight on your hands but also helps when cornering heavier bikes. More importantly, you don't lose too much clearance to pegs/lean angle. I wouldn't go far over an inch though.

Busa track peeps raise the rear of dem one inch to crouch the bike; I liked the lower center of gravity of dropping mine...
<<< Thats -1.25'' front, 0" rear

I should add, in regard to height, if you plan to ride street only, and are a farely responsible as such, you may not have to worry too much about the peg clearance anyway. So keep the drop if that's the case, especially if it makes you feel more comfortable and confident on the bike.
