I Think I Found The One

2005 Yamaha R6 Raven

Picked this bike up with my trailer late last night. I was out riding it all day today and it is certainly a blast to ride. It's an '05 with just under 7300 miles. In excellent shape with just a few very minor scrapes. Puig double bubble tinted windscreen, frame sliders, flush mount signals and a couple other small upgrades. It is lowered 2" front and rear with Vortex links, Motorcycles Unlimited did the work and the previous owner provided me with all the documentation. Only a couple things I'd like to get done to it in the near future. The stock can has got to go! I am looking for a short can that matches the black on the bike. Also, I could stand to have the rearsets and passenger pegs powdercoated but I have plenty of time for that. Just got myself a year policy through Progressive, now I need to get all the title stuff figured out. If you have any suggestions for mods please let me know! Here are a couple pics:

Nice Pickup! Definitely powdercoat those pegs and rearsets with a matching black!

edit: A short can would look nice on it

Good call!! I didn't even think about that, I actually had no idea they made one for it. Off to search.

Thanks for the idea

I thought about changing it back to stock height. The links have a spot for it then I'd just have to raise the front and find a fullsize kickstand as this one was cut and welded by Motorcycles Unlimited. Not sure if it's really worth the trouble, especially since I'm all of like 5'7" anyways I'll have to look into what disadvantages the shortened height has before I make up my mind.

Yes a nice Akrapovic system would do nicely. Also a BMC filter...oh and a PCIIIr.
Oh and pick that thing up to stock height.

Yep raise that thing back to stock. You are hampering your lean angles pretty severly at 2'' down. I had one of my R6's lowered like that, but it was for my girl.
