searching for mods

im trying to find somewhere where i can get some side mounted aircleaners for my shadow. the airfilter is mounted under the seat and doesnt get much airflow. the bike has had the carbs rejetted and tuned for the pipes that are on itand i was passing someone a few days ago only to have the bike sputter a few times and puke a cloud of black smoke out the pipes from not getting enough air.

so i want some side air cleaners. ive been browsing the internet but not really finding anything. can anyone help?

If you were puffing black smoke and sputtering I would think that the re-jet job on your carbs wasn't done all that great.

while i would normally agree with you it only does it depending on how im sitting. if i have my legs in tight it does it, if i have them more outward it doesnt. so judging by that i would say it its lacking airflow.

im pretty sure the rejet was done fairly well cause it goes like stink when im sitting with the legs more outward.

thanks for the links

You have a couple of options for a side mount air cleaner.
What else is done to the bike?
Pipes, carb kit?
