Lightbulb SE BBQ Thread...

Ok Guys Lets try to get this going right we have too many people talking BBQ in too many places... So letís make this the SE BBQ thread... Due to so much going on this weekend I think we need a few weeks to get a BBQ going... I'm suggesting that we try for October 22nd to do a BBQ... This will give those that would like to come out a chance to make plans to attend... Now what park should we hold the BBQ at? The area parks that I know of are Challenger 7 in Webster, Frankie Carter in Friendswood, and the park off Nasa 1 by the lake. (Donít know the name of that park) We will need some people that are willing to help out with the setup cooking of food and the brake down. People that plane on eating should plane to help pay for food. $$ amount should be decided per person. I'll need some help to put together a number for this. Anyone want to team up with me to try and make this happen?

I think you would also have B.S. and myself willing to help. As we were the ones talking about trying to do this, this weekend. So we are going to put it off till the 22nd now? I know usally chicken fajitas sell for 1.30 a lb. and usally you need about 2 lbs for each person. Meat Fajitas sell for like 2.00 somthing marinated a lb. These as Estimates not exact but I'm sure they are close to it. Baseing the price off the meat from Matamodos (not sure on the spelling)..

Ill continue to check in to see how or what changes.

Cool... I just feel that if we wait two weeks then no one is pressed for time. I tried doing this with the SRT-4 guys and it never worked out cuz no one wanted to go to one of the big parks. We have to consider more than just the price of meet like sides and tortillas and drinks I think like $5.00 per person what do you think?

Yea I totaly agree, 2 liter cokes 1.99. : Dozen tortillas like 5.00 : beans rice like 1.00 : I know of some of the Srt 4 guys. Im not forgetting just noteing that the main price will be from from the meat not really the sides. As i noted someone has to bring a car/truck and bring the stuff, cant all be riders. I can probably show up with my friend and the camaro's with some of the stuff.

As i said just keep me posted, jake has my number so drop me a line.
Heading to class ill check on this later.

Like I said in the other thread....why don't yall just wait for the official BBQ meet? It will save you money on having to donate twice. Or you could just ignore me since I am from the SW but I would like to attend your meet if yall do have one.

The smaller meets give the locals a chance to meet up instead of trying to figure out whoís who and Iíd love to see as many people come to this as possible. The big meets are cool don't get me wrong... I'll be at that one too but since it's starting too cool off we may not have too many more chances to get every one together... besides the weather may not hold for either one of the meets... So we have to plane accordingly...

Ok so we need to decide on where we are going to do this. I know that Frankie Carter Park in Friendswood has shade and a covered area with picnic tables.

Any one with another location?

I'll be there around 10:00am to start setting up. where ever we decide to go.

We also need to know how many people want to attend. so come on every one lets get togahther and have fun chillin in the park and eating some good food..
