You might be right, but if we're comparing a 1000cc twin without a slipper to a 1000cc I4 with one.....there's a massive difference in compression braking. However, you're still probably right.
And just so we're clear.......chopping the throttle is clapping it closed. No on, just an abrupt off. Since thats so confusing.......lets just talk about what happens when you grab some brake in a turn as the effect is the same.
