5/11 CONROE FATALITY FUND RAISER
It turns out that the passenger of this wreck is an employee of my ex. She is a nurse, and also the wife of the rider who died. They have several very small children, and could use all of our help. She is still listed as extremely critical condition. I will keep you updated on her status as it changes. There has been an account set up for donations if you would like to help.

Here's the stories from Brandy and Dixie....
CONROE- A motorcycle driver was killed and his passenger was critically injured around 6:27 p.m. Sunday when police say an intoxicated driver allegedly turned his pickup truck directly in their path, making a collision unavoidable on FM 2854 at Loop 336.
Both motorcycle riders were ejected and the 33-year-old male driver was pronounced dead on the scene, with the 35-year-old female flown by Life Flight air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston’s Texas Medical Center in extremely critical condition according to Conroe Police Officer Jeff Smith.
The pickup’s driver, 57-year-old Harold Schmidt of Onalaska, allegedly fled the scene and was found by police hiding behind a tree about 200 yards from the accident scene, according to Sgt. Mike Tindall.
Schmidt was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid. Smith said Schmidt had an outstanding warrant for driving while intoxicated.
“He had the odor of alcohol on his breath,” Smith said. “He did not cooperate with officers.”
Schmidt refused to allow alcohol testing on the scene and was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center for a mandatory blood draw, Smith said.
Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Trey Spikes conducted the inquest and had Metcalf Funeral Directors transport the remains to the Southeast Texas Forensic Center in Conroe for an autopsy.
Identities of the victims were not available as of press time pending notification of next of kin.
It was very unsettling. He was down at 2854 and 336 West. It was very obvious by the accident that the white pickup turned left in front of him from the damage on the truck and the location of the vehicles.
The rider was under cover, but his arms were out, and it was easy to see the position of his body and head. Somebody lost their son- on Mother's Day. He was on a white or light colored cruiser with no gear.
Please slow down out there and watch for cages- they aren't looking for you. I don't want to see that again, or explain it to my kids.
