where to stay?

I noticed ya'll talking about eureka springs. I have been planning a trip with a couple of friends to go to either there or san antonio. if anyone has been to both could you tell me which is better and what hotels are nice. I saw Pied Piper Pub & Inn in eureka springs but i wanted to see if there is another place better for the price. I don't know anything about the roads to ride out around san antonio. any info about lodging or helping with planning out a route to ride would be great. Thanks for the help.

I've been to both.

The terrain and scenery in and around Eureka Springs and southern Missouri is FAR better for riding than the Texas Hill country. Take any road going out of town at E.S. or around it and you are in heaven - while within the city limits.

Shoot, on HW 62 which runs through E.S. there are at least eight 20 mph hard corners and twisties - IN TOWN!!

I've stayed at the Swiss Village Inn and Best Western and both are good.
Lots of motels to chose from in E.S.

Go to Google and type in "motels in Eureka Springs Arkansas" and you will get a list of about twenty and links to official E.S. lodging site.

The only problem with E.S. is its twice the distance from Houston as compared to the Hill Country around Kerrville.

You have to get on the north side of I-40 in Arkansas to start the good riding as everything south of there is flat to gently rolling.
