RoadRacingWorld and SportRider magazines publish their ideas on what is a good setting for the bikes they've tested. The settings will likely not be spot on considering weight differences, riding styles, etc... but its a good place to start.

Your owners manual will diagram which piece and and screw do what...

Really pretty simple once you've done it. Setting it up EXACTLY to your liking is the hard part (I haven't figured it out).

Hard part is addressing one thing at a time, and figuring out what the bike wants.

And unless you spend some money on springs and valves, the stock bits are limited in their range anyhow.
