I believe this is my friends 600 GSXR that was stolen 3 months ago. He just got a call yesterday that they recovered his bike from someone that ran from the police.

His bike is all black. Except for a few accents that are red. The guy who ran fits the description of what the police told my friend.

Any links to this story? I am sure my friend would be interested.

I really do think it is my friend's bike. If not then it is a huge coincidence. Because his bike is all black. He got a call yesterday morning that the police recovered his bike from a black dude that ran from them.

His bike use to sit in this apartment complex in the SW side. I had a feeling it was going to get jacked. That complex was kind of shady. And sure enough, right after he got it painted all black with red accents, it gets jacked within a week or 2 afterwards.

And yea, I was just as surprised as he was when I heard the news. I figured that thing would have been parted out on several different bikes by now.

I will update when I can get more info.

LMAO, you guys crack me up. Reading comprehension seems to be a bit of an issue here. Basically what was being said here was that he (MightyMouse) took issue with the fact that it was assumed that the bike was stolen when the only thing we know is that the perp ran- as far as I've read, it was never indicated that the bike was stolen. Felony or no felony, alleging fallacy is wrong, particularly when it lacks a basis. I've highlighted what he said again for clarification...

chris, you know me better than that. you need to check some of your boys.

well that's a different story. had that been said in he beginning,i would not have gotten all worked up. i think it sucks to accuse people of something when they didn't do it. in your first post it didn't mention in the radio report that the bike was stolen, just the perp ran. if i jumped on my bike and ran from the cops, does it mean it was stolen??? sorry for all the issues in your thread, but i hated when people just assume stuff.

This may not be a shock to the rest of the MHer's but I completely agree with you, I, like you, like to know the who when where and why of the whole story before I start to base my opinions on typical bullshit.

it said it in the title, but the author didn't put it in the post. the i read it,it sounded like a guy who broke some traffic laws and ran. matching the title to the story at the time didn't make sense.
