I bought my 929 from them a couplea years back...

it's pretty much what you'd expect from a used motorcycle dealership...nothing outstandingly good or bad. they were pretty negotiable on the price, as well.

I agree with Civicious. I bought my R1 from there, and while they will negotiate on the price with you, I would not say the majority of their people there are super friendly. There service department is crazy rude, especially when they are slammed.

Do what I did if you see a motorcycle there you like. Work the price, buy, then take to the dealer for all the service and maintenance you do not do yourself.

Cheers!

Excellent choice! Suspension setup is the FIRST thing anyone should do to their bike!

We bought the Yami Virago 250 from there. Very negotiable. Slow as molassas on the deal and opinionated, but show me an un-oppiniated rider. I've done business with them 3 or 4 times. Not the most friendly or helpful, but they carry an impressive selection of gear, tires and parts. Just because you buy it from them doesn't mean you have to let them service it! I'm all for saving a nickle and who cares if the people are rude, I usually know what I want before I hit the store to shop anyway.

I know Tom the owner of the place and he is a pretty good guy that will bend over backwards for you. His wife on the otherhand, isn't the nicest of all people unless you get to know her. I can see where a lot of people get put off from the buying experience but overall, I was always happy to do business with them.

The only good deal you will get out of that place is coke by the kilo.

I buy tires there and thats it.

I have known "Taiwan Tom" for years and spent thousands with him on merchandise/parts etc.... He is an ok guy, definetly a hustler though.

I would NEVER buy a bike from them, their prices are CRAZY high and their bikes are ragged out junk that no one else would take in as a trade.

If you are looking for a deal on a bike, check the classifieds here or check cycletrader online or local Craig's list. Buy from an individual owner....much better bikes and less money.

well the bike is on consignment there. so its basically like buying from a private owner. (he is just paying the store 300$ to keep it there for sale)

+ 1 on the tires, I pretty much get all my tires up there. Not that they're all that cheap, but because they will install the tire for free. A good deal in my book.

The staff isn't always the most helpful (unless you're spending a ton of $ with them), but I haven't found them overly rude. I can't say much for buying a used bike from them, but prices on the tag seem to be a tad bit steep.

They seem to be fairly knowledgeable... at least as much so as the Kawa dealer in Texas City. I have actually been going lately to the Yamaha dealer in La Marque for all non-Kawasaki dealings. They are super-friendly and helpful there.
Doesn't even matter that I ride Kawa, the fact that the people are friendly at the Yamaha place makes a HUUUGGE difference to me. :-)
