K&N Filter Question

In the early part of April i changed my oil, i used full synth 15-50 and a k&n filter. I never had any problems until about a week or so ago, iI get on my bike after work and start it everythings fine. As soon as i put it in gear the gasket in the filter blows and i dump oil on the loading dock. I left bike at work and got ride home, the very next morning i go to cycle gear and buy another k&n filter and four more quarts of oil. i fill up the bike and run it (not in gear) everything seemed fine....when i got off that night i put bike in gear and again i blow the gasket....i go see Pat and he gives me a hiflow filter, i put that one on and no problems.....So I guess my questoin is has anyone ever had or heard of anyone having problems with k&n products?

Oh yeah, I took my bike to Pat and he did a front to back inspection and kept my bike for over a week for free (cause i was scared to ride it).. wouldnt even let me pay for the new filter and oil, thats awsome! Pat ill be back next week.
