Well I have the distinct honor of being the one that ate it today. Luckily I have only a papercut, a banged up bike, and a bruised ego to show for it. Thanks to everybody that stopped and helped me get back on the road. I will definitely be back as soon as I get everything fixed and/or replaced. At least I got the first one out of the way .

My gf called me from the MSF course today and told me she dropped the bike. She didn't feel so bad after I told her my story . I'm waiting for her to get out so we can go for a little ride on BICYCLES! Anyone wanna do some pedalling later?

I am glad you are OK. The bike is just material. plus you have insurance! You being OK is a testament to the importance of gear. In your case..FULL GEAR. Forget the ego...I think most peeps who have ridden the forest, at one point or another, has either went down...or NEARLY went down. I am still pretty new myself, but have had a couple of scares. It can happen to even the most seasoned rider.

Glad you are ok!

its just a bike

No bro you took it really well no one looked down on you for going down just glad you had gear on, and you are okay. It is just a bike the sell them on every corner. (there are 2 types of riders the ones that have fallen and the ones that will) It is a bad saying but we only have 2 wheels and that means it falls over. You popped your cherry! Be glad that you have full coverage and that will help you get either the same bike or try a new one! I went down twice in 1 year but I had to go to the hospital both times and I am glad that I was able to walk away and ride another day. I hope we will see you out riding soon no peddles go to 24hr fit. for that get a new bike and lets ride your a safe rider just bad luck today. Call insurance!
