So what is the best time of year to go, and anyone have some good loops to share? Twistier and less traveled the better...

Where and when? I have a decent 2 day loop mapped out for Austin and back, or the Twisted Sisters. I would recommend planning on 3 days to do the Sisters if riding, or leave Friday and trailer down.

Also keep in mind how big of group you want; lodging can be an issue sometimes...

I am now leaning towards the three sisters after talking to my dad. I don't have anything set in stone yet, but I was thinking June sometime. The only problem is since I own my own store I can't really take weekends off. So since we are closed on mon and tue I was going to get my partner to cover on Sunday and go Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. The one upside is there might be less traffic on the roads.

Weekdays are usually the best. I will be out of town June but if you reschedule July/Aug I would definatley be down, and have a "hook up" for beds in San Antoine

May could work, for some reason I thought it was later in the month than it is. Really any week is good for me as far as I know.

If anyone slows the pack down it will be me LOL.

I'd kind of like to do it sooner, I was hopping to relieve some stress after building my store, plus it will be cooler.
