I had a RS50 in 2001.Dumbest impulse buy I've ever made.It was fun for a few days until I almost got ran over a couple times putting around on the street with it.Turned it into a TMGP bike and dreaded it even more after getting passed by YSR 50's with 200+ lbs riders(I weight 160 lbs in full gear).SV-650 all the waay man.The Ride Smart gonna be fun at first but when you get yourself in a situation where you need the speed that Ride Smart gonna leave leave ya hanging.

Take a day and get the title work done. If you think it's a problem, why would you want to put that off on the next person. You should have handled that as soon as you bought the bike.

As far as which bike to choose. Whatever tickles your fancy. I just couldn't imagine being restricted to 50cc speeds. If you think you need it because you don't have the self control to manage safe speeds, maybe you should reconsider even owning a bike.

ok, i have been talked out of the rs50.
sorry blackwidow, you get to keep your toy.

i looked at over 15 pages in the bike classifieds here and somewhere around 10 pages in craigslist filtering only the stuff from $500 to $2500.
what i would like is a late 90's r6, fzr, gsxr600 (not the fugly katana) or an older cbr w/ fi.
i dont want something with chrome all over or a stretched swingarm or crazy custom paint with skulls on fire or whatever. stock paint looks cool.
like i said before, i dont want to curl up and die with a ninja250 putting me to sleep.
does anyone know anyone who has a brother that works with a guy selling his 99 r6 or whatever?

You have an SV650 so you must be keeping the truth to yourself about it cause spending money on another bike seems illogical to me.

i just dont like it. i would prefer something with a different feel of power delivery. the sv just feels kind of choreish at times, even when im alone on the road. it's fun flying around and leaning into corners and all that, but i just dont like the feel of the sv much. going through the registration has also taken a lot of love out of this bike.

The SV is one of the best bikes out there. Esp when 600's and 1k's can't keep up with you through turns be it on 3090 or at the track

I guess he doesn't have tags and needs to re-up licence plate and registration, but can't because of the title issue. Either way, if he fixed the title problem, he could probably get double when he sells the sv and afford a much newer bike. But that is all speculation. Or he is just tired of v-twinage. Could be wrong.

Good choice on the R6 great bike. Much luck finding what you want!

thanks, taitool.
yeah, i think i just dont like v twins, which is why i wanted to try the rs50. it's something different.
my potential buyer came by a while ago and i think he is going to buy it. i saw a 99 r6 in the old stuff in the classifieds and was in love with it. it was at a good price for me and looked great and totally manageable.

Sounds like you made your decision. IMHO your opinion is the one that matters. If you feel the desire to get another bike because you're not happy, why settle?... I've been there before with perfectly good bikes that just didn't satisfy me anymore. The SV is hands down a well built machine, proven on street and track; and I to my surprise I had seen the popularity on the track lately and am impressed how they ran.

yeah, it's been a great bike. started every time, sounds good, goes fast and strong and whatnot... it just doesnt really do anything for me, looks or feel. i want a faired late 90's sport bike. the colors are great, the look is cool, the engines for the more popular stuff will have plentiful spare parts on the bay.
waiting around sucks. lol. i am so bored out of my mind.
