Cannondale mc?

Anyone on here have any experience with these, particularry the X440? Thinking about buying one from a friend, its a 03 very high tech, ahead of thier time, its fuel injected, electric starter 4 stroke single, front and rear Ohlins suspension, all straight cut gear drives inside, made in usa, looks to be very high quality, hydraulic clutch, there is a company called ATK that bought all the rights and are still making them today, any thoughts? experience? maintence? any advice would help, TIA, Its purdy much a done deal, just want opions

I read where they had a few problems that ATK fixed after they bought the rights. I don't remember the problems off the top of my head, but I have seen a couple for sale that had been fixed either by ATK or using their fixes. I'll see if I can find where I read if nobody else posts up.

Yea they are kinda high maintence, like marrying a model, but I hear they are worth it, some updates were crank bearing and valve cover update, some bolts, etc, thanks for info they are like 48 hp and I think like 230 lbs, this thing rocks, sounds like a RACE bike with all te straight cut gears, etc

Sure U guys can ride it after I sort out a couple things, I tell u im impressed with this beast, lots of torque, The guys that know alot about them have other stuff as well and they all say that none of the other stuff compares power wise to the dales, I read one guy who got 62 rwhp out of his, nice to have an electric start too, I couldnt ride it if it didnt the seat is about up to my chest, I think the ohlins has about 13+ inches of travel at both ends, I seen a pic of this guy he musta been 50 feet in the air between jumps, supermaning it

Here's a good 10 page article that compares 2003 MX bikes including the Cannondale:
