Advice on a TB88 race kit?

Any tips or info that would be helpful to know about a Trail Bikes 88cc race kit for a CRF50? I read a lot of good things about the kit but I have also read about a lot of overheating and oil leaking problems also.... I still want the bike to be able to idle in the pits and put around without getting it too hot etc...

I will probably go up 1 tooth on the front to start out.

Also, do you have to bore the cases for an 88cc? Is the kit a pretty simple bolt in? I will be getting the head/cam/big bore/carb etc....

Your thoughts?

Yeah I will definetly do the oil pump. I will probably wait on the oil cooler and HD clutch....at least until my clutch starts slipping.... I am going to wait until I get the bugs worked out of my busa before tearing the 50 apart but I will probably order the kit this week. I went to Trail Bikes website and they have some links to Dano's Bike shop where there is some install pics and directions....Looks pretty simple aside from taking the clutch apart etc. I will just have to wing that...

Anyone know how much HP is gained going from a stock 50 to a 88cc? I don't even know how much HP a stock 50 is? I figure maybe about 4-5hp? You would think you could almost double the stock HP with the race kit...?

Lastly, does the race kit setup run ok on pump gas?

I think the stock 50 is 2.5HP. You'll probably get 4-5 out of the 88 kit. Are you replacing the carb also?

It should run fine on regular unleaded.

Yeah the kit comes with a fully assembled big valve race head, race cam, hi compression 52mm piston/cylinder, 20mm carb, intake pipe, foam air filter and all the gaskets, throttle cable etc. $349. Then another $25 for the HV oil pump.

, the stocker is only 2.5hp? what a ......LOL Should be fun with the 88 kit in it then...
