I agree with some of the other people, put him on a bike and someone should run his a$$ over. I can't believe someone would do this inhumane type of thing. I, too, would have beat his face into the ground until I was punching the concrete. Prayer and condonlences go out to the family. Y'all will be on my mind....

r.i.p. to the rider. hope the van driver realizes every day for the rest of his life that he took a life, and how much that means.

This really sucks, but I think a lot of you are mis-led by the title.. the rider wasn't dragged, the bike was. The rider was thrown off the bike on impact and the bike was hung under the bumper.

Still need to put the van driver away for manslaughter.

RIP. Glad some other cagers too up for the downed rider and didn't let the fool get away. Because I ride, I'm uber away of bikes when I cage it. I think the rest of you are too. Best business is word of mouth - tell someone who will tell someone to watch out for us!

where do these people get off thinking rules and laws don't apply to them. hitting and killing someone on the road is the same as shooting them point blank in the head. wtf, this chit is me off every other day i hear about these hit and runs.. RIP to the rider tho, thoughts and prayers to his family!

this is getting entirely too outta hand! not to start blabbing away here, but...i just recently starting ridding but i've ALWAYS been on the look out for people on bikes even before i ever thought of getting on a bike myself. i really think they should teach new drivers that all the same rules apply to driving around/behind bikes as they do for cars such as maintaing a safe following distance ect. when these kids/adults thake the classes to get their learners permits. dunno, maybe i'm just over reacting, or maybe it's because i almost got ran over myself last week! i ended up laying my bike down and my leg got pinned underneath. the guy that was on my @$$ just shot aound me and almost ran over my front wheel. NOT ONE PERSON stopped to help me get the bike off my leg or to help me pick up the bike once i got out from under neath. phuckers

Does race change your opinion of how he should be punished?

We ran across this accident friday they had the freeway and all roads near it shut down. I didnt know exactly what was going on till my mom called and asked if i was ok. From what ive been told by a few locals I know. The guy knew he hit the bike and was trying to run. 3 vehicles chased this guy down and blocked him in. and one guy a bike rider that helped block this guy in was pretty upset and got some of his anger out. The guy in the van was in his 20's i believe and alcohol was believed to be involved. I dont know the riders name yet but will find out soon.

RIP to that fallen rider.

The punishment issue, sad to say but they usually don't go so rough on people that get intoxiating manslaughter because they say that it was involuntary (accidental). I hope that since they know that he was aware and then tried to flee the scene, that they take that into consideration and give him all he deserves.
