I've ridden my "adopted" fathers Victory....I think it's a 2004 Victory Touring Cruiser...lots of power, extra comfy for long rides and way different than a sportbike....I enjoy riding it occasionally, but certainly not all the time.

I noticed that all the dealers (victory the exception) I have been to are reluctant to, or flat out decline a vic as a trade / sell. I finally accepted that the bike is mine so now I am cutting it into a Hellcat replica.

good engines, styling is up to preference, build quality isn't as high as the other american moco, and the feel just isn't there. for the price, i'd expect a less plastic feel to them. when riding they're hard to differenciate from a metric cruiser.

my dad purchased an 06 eight ball in may of 06. I have put approx 2500 miles on it and i love it...........

if i were to buy a cruzer that would be the only one! except id buy the jackpot version w/ the big back tire.

we have had NO mechanical problems and the thing runs like a scalded ape.

my only complaint is with the fordard controls you are locked into one riding position. there is nowhere for highway pegs.

the fit and finish is awesome, the handling superb, they are priced competively, and did i mention that stock they (the vegas line) out run a screaming eagle fat boy.........

They are indeed awesome sleds and have some sweet color schemes to boot. They have some great "black out" schemes that come across really tough looking. I walk by them every day at the dealership and it gives me ideas on what I want to do with my M109R.

are you refering to harley? because build quality and harley don't belong in the same sentence. I think that it is a good thing that it feels like a metric cruiser. That means it is built well. I'd take a victory over a harley any day. They sound tough with after market exhaust.

i had always heard that, but the fit and finish on mine is amazing. its a very well put together, and finished bike.

I sold Victory for a few years and went to all the local rallys on them. I've put a few thousand miles on all of the newer models (03 on up). Reliability and custom looks are the main selling points. They flat out smoke any HD short of a Vrod. The Hammer was always my favorite ride. Fox rear shock, Brembos on both ends, steel braided lines, Marzochi front forks and a 6 speed with a real overdrive.

I came close to buying my own, but I just couldn't get my old Gixxers out of my head. Now I ride a ZX10R, but I could see myself on a Hammer in a couple years (or maybe an M109). Then again an Apprilia Supermoto has been stalking me in my dreams.

BTW, you can't swap the six speed into the 8 Ball (at last not 06 or 07)
