Wink Should and Gear post wreck Warning: Mild icky

This is my shoulder after the operation to install a new collar bone, still have a bruised rotator cuff and lung and broken shoulder blade but I'm told they will all fix in time.

At this point the only thing that really hurts is what I think is coming from my rotator cuff. I can move my left arm really well below my elbow and I still have strength in my hand but if I try to move the upper part of my arm it just doesn't work too good, I'm not pushing it but testing once or twice a day to look for improvements.

The only crappy thing is theres no one to talk to about it so you all have to listen to me , people around my house are upset that I'm happy about gaining another inch or so in arm movement instead of moaning and groaning and planning on selling the bike. Instead of hearing "Looks like your doing better, you'll be out there again in no time" I get a lot of "Next time you won't walk away, sit inside forever now and drive an armoured hummer" I get tired of hearing that krap so I just don't talk anymore.

Now I promise to shuttup

Custom sheep background, scruffy hair and beard (Hey, if you had orders to stay inside for a couple months would you care about looks??)
HPIM0326

Little bit closer look for the morbidly curious, it still bleeds a little so I have to wear old shirts for a while. For the first week they kept what was basically a giant tampon over that thing, and when they took it off they put some wierd glue over it, that glue smelled really bad and made me sick that night from smelling it (There was no escape) let me tell you, I thought coughing hurt bad.... I had no idea the sadness that was to come from that experience.

HPIM032deleted

This is... I downloaded the wrong picture.. well anyways this is a picture of half my gear, I forgot to include the jacket in this picture and I accidentally erased the picture that had it in it too. It's an all black Joe Rocket Jacket with a silver stripe that runs down the sleeve, it's fine basically except the silver stripe on my left shoulder got really whacked out. I was going to ask if anyone knew about fixing that stripe? It looks like krap but the jacket is still useable (Wish I could say the same for my Arai) :(

PS the cucumber isn't a joke, it's to show the hole that some how got torn into those gloves, dunno how, dunno why but it showed up because of the wreck.

HPIM0327

EDIT: Yay I didn't erase it... so..I put it where it shoulda been in the first place

Thanks all for looking /rant

P.S. gear will save your life, sure I have a few broken bones but my gear got rubbed that raw just picture the same thing happening to your skin! Wear gear because we are a lot squishier than helmets and a lot thinner than Leather. I wasn't even going that fast, never had a chance to shift out of first.

I've always been a big gear advocate, believed you could never spend to much on it, but that goes 10 times over now, I really honestly do not believe that I would have walked away if I'd of been wearing sunglasses and a t-shirt. I should write arai and JR and thank them

That monster was as long as I am tall. We were at Moody Gardens inside the aquarium pyramid.

Anyways, the story on the covers is.. when she saw me use my sheep covers for one picture, she insisted on using her strawberry covers for the next picture. She can be very insistant.

SORRY for the huge picture of my girl, I had no idea that it was that huge and I don't know how to shrink it down..

But I also wanted to say thanks for all the replies, seriously. Soon as I'm able to I really can't wait to ride again. I'm not going to fix the bike until I'm fully recovered though, I'm the type of person that would convince myself I was better than I really was if I had it in the drive way looking at me.

Good news is, it really won't be a bad fix when I'm ready. The paint was scratched a little but the frame slider really saved it, The worst damage came from my rear set which of course doesn't fold.. so it broke and I have a little weld work to do to fix it. It'll be better than new in no time though, dern thing just kinda tipped over. I probably would have been fine too if I had landed on my back or something instead of my shoulder, I bet I looked pretty funny, I kinda just arced up and over like a lawn dart.

Anyways, thanks again everyone for listening. It really does help more than you realize to know that your really not insane for wanting to ride the horse that bucked you
