Glad to hear your okay and the damage was only to the visor on your helmet.

You will need to contact one of the Mods to change your user name to Ninja Hawkeye. Since you can tell a Champion sparkplug from an NGK at 60 MPH, lol...

I hate Champion plugs and the logo was clearly visible for a split-second when it nailed my visor.

A friend of mine was driving on 59 during the onset of Hurricane Rita, the 10' x20' green street sign hanging above the freeway dislodged and bounced once off the freeway and then skimmed across the hood/windshield/roof of his car.

Imagine seeing that falling in front of you on a bike! It would look like a huge guillotine!

I'm thinking: Blimey, that would have hurt. I wonder what car it is from...

And then everybody in front of me slams on their brakes. I end up locking/unlocking my rear brakes a few times while doing a quickstop. And progressively laying on the front brake. that lady in the Mercedes with ABS in front of me!
Note to self. Get bike with wider tires.

Lesson - take the MSF and wear a helmet!
awesome! glad you survived unscathed and knew what to do with the course knowledge.
Speaks volumes to those who might be on the fence about taking the course.

Yeah, good job keeping your wits about you, glad you had on your gear & everything was ok.

I had a break caliper fly past the side of my head one time - was from the bike in front of me (more to that story)
