helmet question

Ive debated this with a couple of my friends and they think helmets should match their bikes, but me, I think my helmet should match what im wearing. What does everyone else think? (know this is a dumb question, but I get clowned on everytime I pull up and they think I look dumb with a "non matching helmet")

there is no way in you will find a bike to match my helmet unless you custom paint it haha so i think a helmet is used to make you been seen (stand out) so thus my choice in helmet. because my bike and jacket are all black its hard to see me , minus my helmet you can see that for miles!

Well call me crazy, but most of the time people will get one big theme going so the helmet ends up matching both your gear and the bike...if your gear doesn't match your bike at all then I would say you're gonna look goofy either way....

This thread is

Who the fawk cares about helmets matching their bike or outfit... it is meant to protect your head.... go with what you like... but arguing with someone because they look weird cause the helmet doesn't match their bike or outfit?!?!?!?

White matches everything, so just go with white... and i have heard, once you go black, you never go back...

A-freaking-men. When I see a guy go by with matching bike, gear, and helmet, that is so freaking ghey. Leave that obsessive matching for the women. And the metrosexuals.

My choice of helmet went as follows (in order):

crashy-worthiness
fit/comfort
noise
color: no black for Tx summer heat reasons, lighter for better visibility to cagers
cost

I wound up with metallic silver. Bike is black, jacket is retina-burn yellow. If this all keeps my expensive helmet from bounding off the concrete, all the better.

I don't understand why people take such care to match their bike and gear. As long as the stuff does what it's supposed to and isn't pink, who gives a ?

your pattern is so last season.

I usually get black helmets but sometimes a tribal pattern with the base color close to the bike. The helmets wouldn't be so wild if they were meant to match.

If your riding friends are ribbing you about matching gear, you might want to find another kickstand party to attend. Seriously, your helmet pattern should change with the season. Everyone knows that.

I wear what I want and don't care if it matches anything, as long as it keeps my head protected while I ride.
I have Shoei's and a Scorpion. I have had HJC's and Icon's. The Shoei I wear now is colorful for me, the others have all been black, matte usually.

I go out of my way to make sure my helmet DOESN'T match. All my gear is black, but both my helmets are pretty loud colorwise.
