's clean up crew.... ?

So I am commuting to work this morning and had yet another closer call with freakin Vultures. (3 times in the last week alone) So close that I have no idea how I missed one at head level. Anyhow, it got me to thinking.

Anyone been taken out by the things?

I've taken a few small birds to the torso and arms before and hate to think of the repercussion of such a large bird.

Got stories???

someone was telling me on saturday about a friend who took a vulture to the chest on his harley. he didn't go down but it left a bruise.

that would suck.

on a side note, I took a shot from a bird (sparrow maybe) off my helmet at about 35mph saturday. It suprised me but I saw it coming a good 25 feet away, so I was ready for it.

In 8 years I have only hit one bird in my car, and I hit a bid on my bike in less than 100 miles. Crazy.

I had a collision with a butterfly this morning....good news is I'm okay (wearing my gear)...bad news is I'm pretty sure the lil guy didn't make it. He took a knee to the head at 45 mph...and well I didn't stop to check on him, but I can't imagine he survived. :/:

my sister hit one in her car a long time ago. shattered the window like she'd been in a wreck it was so bad. i'd hate to see what a full hit would do to someone on a bike
