Wink Laws?

Got a couple of questions maybe you folks could help me with. 1st... I put a fender elimator on my 08 r6 and it did not come with a license plate light. The plate is close enough to my tail light it is lite up at night time, do I still need to get a lic. light?... next is that I heard if a cop pulls out and tries to pull you over you should try to out run him.. I'm kiddin... no really should you? HaHa. Serioulsy bout the first question.

Tail light doesn't work it has to be a white light.

You are going to need a license plate light. Running is not a great idea.

Getting a ticket for no light on your license plate is not a big deal.

A felony conviction for evading arrest is a VERY big deal.

Just put a freakin auto parts store light on it for $5 and be done with it. I mean for 's sake why would you even talk about something like this?

Maybe it's interesting to know what the law actually is...without an officer's intervention... I know I'd never thought about it personally - but if it's not required, why would I go to the trouble of wiring one up?

It is required, it must be white and clearly illuminate the plate.

Your plate must be illumintated by a white light. It must be visible and not obstructed by the tyre or tilted as not to see the #'s AND registration. The inspection must be on the rear close to the licence plate. Not neccessarily on the plate. Mine doesn't fit, so I took it off and keep it in my trunk. Yes I can get pulled over for not displaying it. But having it is more important than anything. Just keep everything up to date and you won't get hasseled.
