a trackday was my best investment... then gpr steering damper, then prob gearing, then exhaust , then pc3 with tune, then tires, then more trackdays

for $15,000 a year, you could self-insure, with a bond. Save the money, and even see a small return at the end of the year.

Oh and as far as mods go, in this order.

Frame sliders
swingarm sliders / spools
Brake lines & pads (I like EBC pads)
Scotts Steering dampner (my preference again)
Suspension setup (May need components, depending on your size)

From there, who cares. That thing is faster than you need on the street anyway. Try a trackday.....It will slow you down on the street, it did for me.

15k a year!!?!??? i got quote that before.....then i went to state farm (check our sponsors section and give them a call)

i ended up with 100/month for full coverage. brand new 1000rr, bad driving record, and under 25

my mods in the following order (from love it, to don't care about it)

BRIDGESTONE BT002 PRO RACE TIRES (how's that hutch )
STM slipper clutch
SS brake lines
ohlins fork cartridges
ohlins rear shock
scotts steering damper
pc3 and ign module with quickshifter
factory pro velocity stacks
bmc filter
leo vince exhaust
vortex rearsets
vortex clipons
EBC GFA race pads
CRG levers
520 chain conversion with a variety of sprockets
Stomp Grip pads

i'm probably forgettin a few things too....now for the next best mod....UPGRADE THE RIDER SOME MORE with Buck and Longhorn Motorcycle School!!!!
