you will see where your money goes. I think I will have spent almost 12k on my r6 (not including the bike) when its all said and done. i guess its better done without thinking about it.

There is more to it that just #,s, I would say a talented rider on any or even the slowest/heaviest bike here would kick the poopie out of the average rider, there is alot of pride in smoking peeps on a older/slower bike, look at the times between the slowest and fastest is less than .2 seconds, and then factor how the bike makes U feel, I personally love my 1098 and my gixxer 1000 and would be very happy with any of these, quit ur and enjoy what U got, that being said I am thinking very hard about getting the MV F4 1000R 312

read up on technology man. look at the models and when they came out. every year one manufacturer tops the other. this year honda and kawasaki had the new bikes. last year, which is the current suzuki model was the top dog, now with honda and kawasaki having top honors with traction control and what not, suzuki will no just sit behind and watch the sales go down. just as when the 09 comes out, the 10 honda and kaw are gonna come back.

i may favor suzukis but i am not bias. i will tell you straight up the cbr and the zx are a better bike in 08.

stick to the 50?

All these bikes are really close. Sorry to burst bubbles here, but the only bike with real traction control listed is the 1098R if the one they tested was infact a R model. (probably not) The CBR IS NOT traction control, but a crude ignition interupt system*. Kawasaki pull short of calling their system traction control, and it is widely considered a "gimmik" technology for this bike**. Either way these systems only work at low RPM which makes them useless. So what is the deciding factor? Looks, sound, price, ergos, availability. For my .02 I wouldn't ride the CBR 'cuz it's fugly. They ruined the front end and the chinsy looking exhaust. Not the ZX because its a kawaSAKIIIIIIIII, and Prince called he wants his exhaust back. I would ride the Duc, but seriously 39,999?? Joking right? So that leaves the R1. Which by the way was fastest at both tracks, has the best looks, sound, and ergos (im 6ft). Oh yeah, and its a Yamaha. The R is for RESPECT.

You are thinking of the 1098r, I rode one not too long ago, also, roadracing world did a write up on it in the last issue that is a good read I think its worth the money with what you get.. the base is close to 16grand i think.

The 1098 r is the sickest bike i have ever ridden. it had a lot of power even compared to my 08 busa with full exhaust, pc3 and sprockets. extremely light also.

Yep Yup. Read the article great read. I would love to own a 1098R, but the base doesn't come with the forged Marachini's, full Terignomi system, Ohlens forks, Ohlens rear suspention, braided Brembo lines and master cylendar ect... By the time I was done with it 16k+listed mods++ I could buy 2 BRAND NEW R1's. That was all I meant. Dont doubt the Duc.
