YOU DO WANT YOUR CHAIN SOMEWHAT LOOSE

For street riding, leave about 2-2.5" of play in the chain.

Look at the bottom half of the chain (the half closest to the ground)... pull it up and push it down, you should have about 2-2.5" of up-down movement.

Ride to a meet-and-greet one night, anyone there will be able to show you how to do it AND show you the proper amount of slack (you only need a big wrench to loosen the axle nut, a 10mm wrench and either an 11 or 12mm wrench to make the adjustment).

Too tight is gonna be worse than too loose...

u should already have the tools u need under the seat.
