Thinking about paintin my new 250R

Not sure where i would post this...so let me know if i posted it in the wrong thread...

I saw some pics of a white 08 250R and i loved it...

I also saw some pics of what ppl do to their bikes...like Azylum...now i'm not saying i want to paint it like his...but it looks awesome...wait...back to my story...sorry got caught up with his bike...

How much would it cost to do a nice paint job on a bike like mine? From what i heard it's a PITA to do it since you have to take off the tank:/:.

Also...any of you have ideas on what would look awesome for a paint job...??

I like my 250R black as it is...but the white one looked even better...also wanna stand out...

In all seriousness I call

IMO, if the bike has perfectly good paint, I don't see the point in painting it.

Do whatever makes you happy though $.02

Keeping it would be AWESOME! You could one day let your special lady enjoy it!

I just seriously don't think you'll wait 4 to 5 years to upgrade but hey who knows (you could be insane) I KID! I KID! lol

If you do decide to paint it, don't cut corners (like me) lol but hey mines a trackbike

The only reason i say 4 to 5 years is because i have it financed...so it might take max 4 years to pay it off...well that long if i get into finance problem...

I tend to pay it off in less than 3 years...so it might be 3 years and not 4 or 5 until i upgrade...

Also forgot to mention that on the left side of my bike there are now scratches...my brother dropped it when he got on gravel and rolled on the throttle. No dents or broken things, but some scratches, man does it still hurt...

Don't worry about it man...I'll bring a few cans of paint to your house (maybe some of the paint w/gold flakes like on patio furniture) and you bring the beer....we'll make a day out of it!

Well if you plan on keeping it figure out a color you like. I see you like the pearl white, but pearl can get a bit expensive. I know there is Tom's paint and body that is a sponser on here that can help you out. I painted my zx6 on my own and it came out nice with the metalic blue I picked from the lambo colors they offer. I used some paint that was ok and I ended up paying like 200-250 for the materials needed to paint and cut and buff the paint. For the tank takes a few bolts and to turn the gas valve off to take the hose off and your done.

sorry and yes it hurts even more when some one else does a boo-boo to your bike. anywho that is what I was goin to suggest, wait til some type of cosmetic work is needed.
But I for one always try to be different and love to stand out from the crowd I say if you have the money to burn, get er done! might as well be creative with your project and leave that ever lastin impression within the cycle community. btw is there such a thing as "candy pearl white paint ", just a thought cuz im from the ghetto and sounds unique in a special type of way but that's just me.

There's the man right there!

Tony, come up with any concepts for the yellow paintjob on the Katana yet?

My knee surgery has gone pretty well and I'm recovering pretty fast, happily I must say.
