Scorpion Jackets?

I am looking to purchase a textile jacket and have read most of the threads talking about which brands are good, what is good for the money and then what is cheaply made. While looking at the scorpion exo 700 helmet, i noticed they had some jackets for $160 or $230, the features on them look pretty good but i was wondering if anyone had some experience with them. I need a jacket with good ventilation and awesome safety gear but at the same time wont kill my pocket book. Any advice will help

Here are 2 links for the jackets:

Hat Trick: $230

yeah everything ive read about joe rocket and all the stories ive heard from yall kept me away from even looking in that direction... A* was the first brand of jackets i was looking at, i really liked the fact you could get the pant/jacket combo, but a few people on here said they were cheaply made, but that was only a few people and a lot of people liked them, its in between A* and scorpion right now

Cool Leather is the best protection

I've been reading all your questions about what kind of jacket and pants to get. Go down to different stores and try everything on and feel what suits you best, just watch the stitching on the clothing, make sure it is at least double stitched and has protection. For real safety everybody knows leather is the best but most expensive. I work with this stuff and you can never tell what a customer prefers without having them try different brands. Good luck

He is right go try some on. Leather is better for your protection but not better for Houston's 110 deg. weather. don't get me wrong i love A* but to each there own.

i used to have a joe rocket mesh jacket and within a month the zipper broke, the stitching was coming up, it just felt cheap. but thats the only joe rocket product i have ever bought, but i always heard bad things about them.

def get some kneepad/shinguards and boots, i wear them on the backroads, but get in the habit of wearing them all the time. i watched ryan (sixshooter) tear his knee up pretty bad a week ago at forest. and for leather...yeah its really hot. but the saying goes..."...its cheaper than skingraphs"
