Fallen Racers number?

I hope this doesn't hit a sore spot with anyone, but I have seen a number of peoples track bikes with I believe the number 214 cut out from their numbers.

If I am not stepping over any lines in asking, I am a bit curious about who this was and what it pertains to or the circumstances behind it with so many people having this on their bikes.

only 2 bikes with that.....a blue/white/gunmetal gsxr, and a white/red/black sv650

i got those numbers cut out for him. #7 is brandon spradling (from motorcycles unlimited). that is his EARNED number for placing 7th overall in the CMRA race series last year. his original number is 214 which is being reserved for him the following year.

Then it's a different number as I have seen it in one several different bikes. Scott with TTD and a few others.

Maybe I am just reading too much into it, but I was thinking it was a tribute to a rider that several trackday/cmra guys knew well.

Brandon's been 214 for a few years now.
Don't know about anyone else.

Number of the beast:

214 plus it's reflection (412) = 626

412 - 214 = 198

1*9*8 = 72
2*1*4 = 8
72+8 = 80

4/1/2 = 2

80/2 = 40

626+40 = 666!!!!

They are devil worshipers.

If it was 714 that would be Drew Lippolt cmra racer-died on a practice day at oak hill prior to the 06 season

I think it is the registration number for a track day that the riders have never removed.

I'll double check the number I saw on my next trackday and see if I am stating the wrong number or what the deal is.

Thanks for the clarification so far though.

I've still got a 514 on my bike from an LSTD registration last year. Some people have asked if it's my race number. Yeah... on a Strom.
