Red face UPDATE: Bad news on my clutches....(sniffle, sniffle)

I, BY MYSELF (i'm a big girl daddy) opened the moto up saturday to replaced my clutches, put in the clutch mod, and change my oil!

Mind u i have no stands, so i ***** rigged it & used my tie downs to stand the bike straight up in between 2 trees in the backyard to work in da shade!

SL381791

I had the laptop out there so i could keep looking at the maintenance manual i downloaded & the microfiche from ron ayers to determine what all needed to be removed & in what order, but i failed 2 look at the model numbers on the fibers 2 know which one went in first.

Open the thing up, get down 2 the hub nut & i had no impact gun nor any "***** rigging" ideas for a replacement so i had 2 scrap installing the clutch mod for the time being. Was so about that i put the clutches in, finished with the oil change, and what do ya know my clutch lever isn't grabbin'. So it for another day!

Sunday I went back out, opened the cover and drained the NEW oil BACK OUT, and reread the microfiche and the original baggies that the fibers came in that have the model #'s and saw that I had put the fibers in the wrong way , so turned em around, put everything back on and WHAT DO YA KNOW...........THEY WORKED!!!! Ahhhh i bet u thought i phucked it up!!!!

Went 2 the track last night, made a few sucky passes (not at the fault of my clutches), with no problems!!! I'M SOOOO PROUD OF MYSELF! Who says girls can't fix and ride da outta their own bikes and get dirty doing it!!!

GIRL POWER BISHES!!!! ATTN MH shop/garage sponsers, i'll be willing 2 make some extra cash as a "mechanic in a bikini" for extra $$$/hr!!!

That is all!!!

Congrats... glad to see everything worked out for you... even though you might want to invest in some equipment and tools instead of "***** riggin" the bike the next time...

I'm always afraid to say ***** riggin' cause someone may get all upset, but since Candy started the thread....

I'm all about ***** riggin'. LOL! For real Candy, coming into the loop (when it ain't traffic isn't bad) is not too far...not like you live in another city.

I'm all about it 2, ESPECIALLY if it saves me $200

I'm never sure about traffic. I have ALWAYS worked/played within 10 minutes from home, so i'm clueless on traffic patterns anywhere outside of the loop! But i'm sure if i need u, u woulda been there!!!
