Talking Installed Air Horns..!!

Hello Team:

I ride everyday on the street and almost every other day I have cagers cutting me off so I installed air horns..!!!

I found the Nautilus by Stebel air horns at my local O'Reilly's Auto Parts and decided to give it a try,($50.00). The stock horn in the Speedy is useless. Installation is very simple, the difficult part was to find a good location for mounting. (behind the frame slider attached to the engine mount). I used an aluminum right angle bracket from a CB antenna mount. According to the instructions the air horns need to be mounted in a vertical position with no more than 25 degrees of inclination in each side. The quality of the product looks very good and at least it was not made in China!! (they are made in Italy). Due to the high current they use they came with a relay, have to make the cable between the horn and the relay the shortest possible and they sit side by side.

The air horns are LOUD!! after installation was completed I try them inside the garage and it hurt my left ear...!!!!

They just sound like the sample in the Stebel web site but 10x louder:

http://www.stebel.it/stebel/index2007_1.htm

(Be aware that it's a totally "Flash Player" web site.)

On the left side just got to: "Products => Nautilus Compact Tuning Black => Rough and Tough Sound Hi-Res"

Here are the pictures:

Yes, installation is easy. The original wires of the stock horn go to the relay, the other two conectors in the relay go to the horn and the other to the battery.

LOL....!! Anything is possible. A foghorn will require compressed air. The Stebel web site has also other air horns for boats/ships.

The bracket was part from an old CB antenna mount that was in the garage, do not remember where I got it but any right angle bracket will do. Looks kinda fugly but who cares?? It's me against them, so this will grab their attention..!!! Sounds louder tham most car horns.

I'm thinking to put a smal "NOS" sticker in the cylinder, so for the un-initiated it will look like part of the engine.
