This was the 1st of 3 mc fatalities I worked yesterday. HD rider was pretty much in the wrong lane ant the wrong time. He ran right into a crash that was already happening on the freeway. A vehicle that had just bounced off a guardrail came into his lane. He went down and crashed headfirst into a concrete guard rail. No helmet.

You know how you can bonk your head getting into a car... you can see stars.. how do people not think about how hard your head will hit at road-speeds??

andre3k - is there some sort of database that lists all MC accidents? I mean in terms of cause and type of injury - time of day, whose fault, etc.? I'd like to know more about that statistics of what to be even more aware of as I'm riding.

And since you work these kinds of accidents - can you say how much of the time a wreck would have killed a mc rider if not for his helmet?
