[QUOTE=FlipSideUp;1158141]I think every place I've ordered online, I had to pay up front. I think what Motostrano needs to do is work it into their online ordering system, to alert the potential buyer if a product is back-ordered or not. That would solve this problem. They need to get on the Web Designer/Consultant's , and get him to fix it immediately.

And for the record, based on what I read here, he was refunded his $$ back immediately.

Depends on what we mean by good ride. Just rode down to Shane's Rally, as you know, but if felt good to get on the bike just to get out and take a break from work, work, work... even if it was just slabbin it on 45.

I just ordered sliders for the bike I sold today. They take my cc number. Only when the item is in stock do they charge the card.

My $.02. THey probably don't all do that. But I'll tell you what, my next sliders (for my new bike) are comming from the same company.

since i just read this thread, I will say one thing.....

MOTOSPORT will do the same effing thing to you if an item is on back order.

I ordered some gaskets and levers for the KX a couple months back....levers showed as being shipped, but not the gaskets. 5 days later, I get the levers but not the gaskets. I called them up and they refunded me the $$$ for the gaskets and took them off my order. I'm sure all big companies have some flaws...other than that, Motosport.com has my business. They have better response than sending PM's to sponsors on here....go figure.

I got my supermoto wheels from them not too long ago, but luckily i did my research... supermotojunkie and thumpertalk have horror story threads about these guys, but for me the had the best price for what i wanted. So i ordered online & called like every 3 days to keep them on there toes & on track. It still took me 2 weeks to get my wheels & on the website or in an email (i forget) they said they need a week to process & assemble my order, Which to me doesn't make sense cause my wheels COME ASSEMBLED FROM THE FACTORY. At first i thought that meant they were gonna mount the wheels and tires, but no. They probably don't stock a lot of the stuff they sell cause it seems as if they just order from the factory when you order from them, then ship it to you when they get it. As for Customer service, One guy on the phone was helpful, and another one i talked to sounded like he lost a bet and got put on phone duty.

So IMHO
Motostrano prices = (*****) very competitive
motosrano "processing" & shipping = (*) SLOW!!
Motostrano customer service = (**) Eh? so/so

total = (***) 3 stars.

Online Stores hardly keep anything in stock... I don't know why everybody makes a big fuss about it. He said its a 4 man shop so that means they have signed up with wholesalers and when somebody orders a PART online they look it up in a catalog and order it.

This is exactly why you should support the Sponsors. They show what they have in STOCK, what will need to be ordered, and how long it will take to come in. You may pay slightly more, but in return you get people that actually look out for you.

And the Company didnt defraud anybody? You either got your stuff or got a refund.

Might be noted, all the SPONSORS have phones and real people to answer your questions when you call. And they CALL YOU when there is an issue, not just surprise you when you stop by to pickup your parts.

When I call to order parts, I expect the person to actually know what they are talking about.

I have ordered from them twice without a problem. First time ordered Puma boots and they sent them out right away. The second time I ordered cheek pads for a helmet and they informed me it was on backorder, as I had other items on that order they sent me what they had and shipped my backorder out same day it came in. I always place my order over the phone and the guy that helps me is usually pretty cool.

I guess online stores have their good days and bad days. Although I have not gotten anything online MOTO-related, I have gone online for car parts. That one car parts store I order at had the best deals period. Had 1 "defective" product, sent it back and they gave me my money back (not including payment shipping back)
