! ... I dont know how he could have hit the back of the taco truck ... because i saw the truck right in the middle of two lanes, and his bike was underneath the left side of the truck to where the rear left wheel was off the ground. kinda doesnt make sense the way they described it. it seems like the news is trying to make it look like it was the motocyclist fault.

HFD killed in motorcycle wreck

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24185866

HOUSTON - A firefighter died when his motorcycle collided with a truck on Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported. Harris County sheriff's deputies said the wreck happened on North Eldridge Parkway near Little York Road at about 6:45 a.m.

Houston firefighter Mickey Pate, 49, died at the scene.

He was a 29-year veteran and worked at station 75 in southwest Houston.

"You could always trust Mickey. He was a good man to have," said Sr. Capt. Glen Brannon with the Houston Fire Department.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Monday.

Pate is survived by his wife, mother and brother.
