Going to Austin!!

Hey ya'll, my mother called and is taking our kids to my sister's for the whole weekend!
We haven't had a weekend off in over 3 years so the wife wants to load the bike in the truck and stay in Austin. We will be 3 miles from Lake Travis.

I was wondering if someone might know the area and would be able to let me know of some good riding roads out there and also some cool stuff to do!

Anything will help, and thanks!

Ps. She loves the twisties!!

Not everywhere, but quite a few, yup!

Hwy 50 West out of Canyon City in Colorado rocks!

And Hwy 1 down thru Big Sur ain't bad; lots of side roads cut off into the hills...

Sweet ride Polo.

South of Blanco, a portion of Route 32 toward San Marco, is called the "Devil's Backbone" and is one of the most scenic routes in the hill country. The road is windy and can be steep. We did see an overzealous BMW rider off the side of the road, luckily moving well. As it is scenic, it can be travled by slower traffic. Relax, enjoy and stop at various gazing spots.

Devils Backbone is pretty boring actually; if you want some good roads in the Hill Country go do the 3 Sisters and that area.

But that is 2-3 hours south of Austin
