not a problem

Well, maybe I could have provided more information about myself... your right Iím new to motohouston.. I have known of it for some time and just been lazy in getting around to joining. I live in the Dickinson area just off 45 and 517, I ride a 07 zx14, I ride with people mainly on the south and east side of Houston. We hit "the spot" in Galveston occasionally. Star bucks and ASI on Wednesday nights.. Even though we have heard some bad stories about ASi we havenít seen anything bad since we have been going there. Maybe a saturday trip through the forest. Were not street thugs.. We just like to ride and the more cool people we can get together to do that the better. I simply thought it would be fun to get a group together and make a run to Austin for lunch.. Meet some new people and get to log some miles at the same time. Several people have hit me up to the "pace" of the trip.. I plan on taking it easy... I think there will be several people with their Girl friends or wives with them. Take a look at the original post, I left my name and phone number and e-mail.. Feel free to hit me up if you have some specific questions regarding this trip. Iím more than happy to talk to anyone who wants to get a better feel for who I am etc... Sorry for all the confusion..

Thanks Jim, nice to know I am not crazy.
Fair enough

I just didn't know about the computer etiquette deal, i am lucky to turn this thing on! But I respect your opinion, and I just saw it differently!

The back roads sound better to me too and I'm down for this ride!

On a side note, why not meet out on 290 somewhere to keep group riding in the city to a minimum, and get us on the right freeway straight off the bat?

# of posts has nothing to do with riding ability. I'm more likely to hang out with someone that I know more about and I'm guessing that others here are too.

For the caps, go check out the forum rules at the top of this page. Caps don't bother me any more than all of the poor grammar and spelling I see. :dontknow:

Welcome to the forum D3CR! I'm not into long straight rides on the highway, I get plenty of that commuting. Maybe if you get a ride up on the north side I'll come out and hang with you.

Check out the roads between sealy and Round Top

Freeways get boring fast IMO. Man I wish I still had a street legal bike at times.

D3, I've headed up that way enough that I think we can keep it pretty simple.

I'm not plannin on going at any insane speeds. I tend to like to enjoy my country rides.

Danggggitttt! .....sorry..
This is the main reason I bought a sport bike.
I am always kicking myself for riding around here locally every weekend - thinking man I could'a had a ride to austin or sumthin....:/:
I would love to join in on this ride but I have other plans already. (track day)
If anyone ever wants to do this in the future I would be glad to head this train up that way (my route only superslabs for about 25 min.) for lunch and back!

I would be interested if the route consisted of backroads, freeway is exhausting and boring.
