LOL...

well , i'm not holding anyones hand.. your a big boy.. if your not comfortable dont go.. i didnt say i was organizing a babysitting trip, i just said i was trying to get a group together to ride to Austin for lunch and back. fairly simple, i didnt realize folks were going to need DNA samples before they rode with someone. whats the worst that can happen? you might meet some new people to ride with... maybe you have had some bad experiences in the past,,, i dont know... i'm really not trying to be a smart here but i havent ever had anyone so reluctant to go for a ride.. lol... maybe you can be more specific with your personal concerns here..

Plenty of bad things can happen when riding with a stranger. I am not trying to be a or accuse you of anything so don't think that. I am just saying. There are many many different types of riders out there. I, and I am sure many others, want to know what we are getting into. That's why alot of us ride with those we know on here or can vouch for. I was only saying that this was your first post ever here. But like I said it's no biggy, hope you don't take offense to it and I will now stop whoring your thread.

What does the amount of post's he has have to do with his riding abilities??:/:

Would you not ride with someone you ran into on the highway because you don't know them?

And what's the big deal about writing in all caps???:/:

people are picky now days!!

CAPS in email or on the web are considered YELLING; just ettiquete. Some people care, some don't. To me, it's just rude.

I personally don't ride with "someone I met on the highway" because I prefer to know who I ride with.. their style and skill level, if I have to worry about them popping a wheelie in traffic where I have to dodge them, etc.

FYI if you are posting a group ride, put up some info as to what the ride will entail.. fast, slow, cruising down the highway at 140, etc.

thanks

oh, and welcome to MH

We can stop jacking his thread or what? I am not saying it has to do with his riding ability but it does seem strange that someone on the board for that long posts a long ride as their first post months later. But guess that's just how i see it. No big deal. But no, to answer your question, I do not ride with any stranger I happen to run into. There are alot of riders out there that can lead you into a world of because of their actions. But like I said. The thread whoring can end. If anyone has issues with my statements feel free to PM me. And btw +1 to what jim said regarding caps. This is long known internet etiquette.

Thanks Jim, nice to know I am not crazy.

Welcome Welcome! I think the Austin ride sounds awesome, but why not try a few back road instead of taking 290 the whole way? 21 is a fun road that can spit out our just south of Kyle after a few turns...20 minutes from Austin. and alot better than boring 290.
