what the !!!!!

i am on my way to school and i stop at a gas station but my gas tank would not open. i mean nothin, the key would not turn for jack. there is like a white residue/condensation in and around the key hole. i know its not the key because i tried my other original. i hope i have enough gas to get to the shop tomorrow. anyone have any ideas of what i can try or what could be wrong????

maybe worth a try. walmart has graphite for like a few bucks. its in the back next to the keymaker. i put some in my ignition and fixed my key issues.

Whatever you do, don't get off and break the key off in the cap. I did that once. Stranded me in bummble****eyegypt. That was a long day!

yupper; wd40 or equivelant and insert key in/out a few times to lubricate the keys. It need to penetrate down to the lock mechanism.

Once you open it, some lube gel would work better to free the lock latch. dont use too much because you don't want it to pair with your gas pump

Just take the gas cap off and see inside what is stopping it from opening it, but if the gas can make it to patrick, then take it.

It is obvious that a lot of you don't know that if you cannot open the cap that you cannot take it off of the tank. You have to be able to open the cap first.
