CCS at MSRH 4/19-20

The CCS show is on the way to town and there are going to be some great periferals to the event. Practice starts at 9am on Saturday as does the license class, you can still sign up for that for 100.00. What a deal......
Saturday evening will have a live band, and food and drinks for the party. LMS will bring a keg or two to help loosen you up. There will be inflatable jumpers for the kids to keep them entertained too. LOTS OF FAMILY FUN!

Sunday races start around 10:30 and should run well into the afternoon. Expert and novice classes, Ty Howard will be there as well as most of the other really fast guys, looking for thier share of the purse money. It will also be a Kawasaki contingency weekend so Larry Meyers, Bill Drake, Bill Gutherie, and the other Kawi boys will be running extra hard to bring home the dough. I'll still be looking for my first win in Formula 40, it's a win it or bin it weekend for me.

Also of note......the kart track at MSRH is finished and they have some great rental karts. CRG's with Honda motors make for some great fun on the high bank and the rest of the track is one of the most technical tracks I have ever been on. Hourly rental is 100.00 (4 x 15 mis sessions)or they also offer a single session price at 30.00. They have a lot of karts, 12 adult, 4 kids, so bring your friends for some challenge racing. They also have kid karts to rent as well so junior can get his speed thrills started young. Tristan will probably be on that track all weekend, helping the younger set go faster. (he's in a 100cc kart now over 80mph!!!)
I was out last weekend when 12 MSR members all rented karts and ran 10.00 match races, winner take all. Come on out MotoHouston, it's goning to be a blast!!

$100 for all day practice, which includes the licensing class? If I'm not missing anything, that is one helluva deal!

I think I might bring the boy out to check out the karts... he may be old enough now to get some seat time- sounds like a good time.

Bring him out Tom. If he's too small for a rental, he can run Tristan's 50cc kid kart around...it's tiny and tons of fun. Get 'em slideways while they are young I say. I like to hope I'm raising the next Spies or Schumacher...

You aint kidding about that kart track being technical. Rode around it on the ruckus and all I can say is, AWESOME!!!!
I gotta get out there and turn a few laps on a kart.
I think you've answered this question before, but can you do the licensing school on a street bike?

What's the gate fee to come and watch? Wife and I will be up in the area this weekend looking for houses, but I'd like to stop and watch for an hour or so.

That's some cheap track time! If I weren't already heading to the Bob Marley fest in Austin....
