a chat would be awesome...although there are other alternatives, such as a IRC channel...i know of a forum who tried this out and it worked out...until all ppl stopped showing up and stopped chatting:sign12:...lol...guess it was a good idea...but a chat here could be cool...

And also if need be. I could host this. I have a pretty fast server that can handle a chat no issues. Its on a 3 meg sync connection and pretty much only handles email at this time.

well the only thing about the IRC would be that the less savy would need to download a third party app, and learn how to use it. Such as mIRC...unless the IRC can be integrated into this forum, then that would be could...or you know what...uumm......i would of though of something like a MH Messenger...or something like that....

I will look into it. I know there are some web based interfaces for IRC. If thats feasible I could start up an IRC server no problem.

That's true...the forum would see less threads...although the chat is a good idea and the threads will serve as a info...such as, lets ride, i'm selling, for ppl to search for. It will be informative and the chat more interactive...

It will minimize the BS chatter between the people on the board at that time. For instance late at night, most threads are just the few people online chatting back and forth.

If we take the MIRC Route, I have set up channels in it before for previous things... Just PM me if needed. But it looks like others know how to already.
