What should I do?

Okay, here is my problem..the company I currently work for is practicing some "un-authorized activity" that really needs to be resolved...but I'm worried if I make some phone calls that I will be caught up in it all...I really don't know what to do...OSHA would be my first call. I did some research on there site today and I'm pretty sure I would go down with the owner simply for working there...So, does anyone here have any experience dealing with these kinds of things...and no I can't just quit... yet..thanks guys

Need more details...you know, the type you wouldn't want to provide on a public forum. If you're really not caught up in it then you shouldn't be too worried about getting stuck in the mix. Now, if someone else reported it instead of you then I could picture a messy situation. Trust your morals/ethics, go with your gut and good luck sir.

I think that could be easily answered with , Get The **** Out. I mean if you think this is something that is seriously going to hit the fan, why stay in it? I understand for money reasons or whatever but what is money going to do for you in prison? (Im assuming it's something you'll do time for)

Find a new job first then report the problems, either way they will come out sooner or later.

you could be covered under the whistle blower act if you report. You could end up the hero in the situation.

actually, you will be fine. there is what as known as "the whislteblowers act" which protects you from legal backlash. but OSHA is a good place to start. actually, the attorney generals office is the best place to start, you can document your non-involvement (even if you are involved) and they will point you in the right direction.

+1, i know of a company that was turned in by one of there own employees for dumping oil goods into the ground on site, he wasn't even talked to, it's the upper management/company owner who'll have to deal with it all.. You should be free and clear.

I wouldn't do that, make sure they know it's YOU who's reporting it so you don't get caught up in it, as many have mentioned the "whistle blowers act"

as long as you don't have anything to do with it, you can be anonymous, seen it done... works just fine.

go through osha.

atty general will probably just point you in the direction of osha..

we get these questions all the time... its why you have a safety dept that's worth a and a cih on board.

either you are with them in scheme of things or you are not. Just turn and look the other way, it's just a software piracy.
