So someone wrecked my motard!

Here is the story. I get a phone call from some random number and I answer it. It turns out to be a friend of my grandparents. They have been friends for 20 years or so. His son is back from Japan on leave from the marines. He has been riding a Harley over there for a while. He canít get his license over there he has to get it in the states. My grandmother told him I have several bikes. He wants to rent one so his son can take the test at the DMV. I told him yeah I guess he can use my motard. I had the dirt wheels on it so I made sure he was tall enough to ride it. I dropped it off yesterday with his dad. His dad said his son wouldnít ride it anywhere but maybe in a parking lot. And he would ride it to the DMV so his son could take the test. He said he would pay me $100 for a couple days. I said yeah sure. So I took it over to his house. Went over everything and told him be careful its not a Harley. I saw my bike at the gas station so I stop in because I needed gas in my truck. I saw that it was his son riding it not the dad. I saw his face was jacked up and asked what happened. He said he wrecked yesterday. I was like WTF. I started looking it over and the gearshift lever was rubbing against the stator cover. I told him to follow me home so I can look it over more and fix it. I started looking at it and he messed up my lower fork tube, gearshift lever, stator cover, chain guide, bark busters, and my helmet. He didnít have the helmet latched or have the jacket on I let him borrow. Then told him this rental just got really expensive. They are going to take it to Patrick and Motorcycles Unlimited to get an estimate. There may be more I missed. But I want my fixed lol. Life lesson learned. I like Patrickís rule. Never let anyone ride your wife, your bike, or your car. Here are the pics of his roadrash. BTW he wrecked in front of his house. Sorry for the rant but I am ! Never again.

tell him to go take MSF and he won't need to borrow no bikes to get a license.

Sounds like he could use it anyhow

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

Yes...

There are two things you never lend out. Your wife or your bike. When they are returned they are both screwed.

Good thing these bikes are easy to repair...sorry to hear this man.
