Trouble with my gear display

Hope it's no biggie... I have a 07 Gsxr600 and noticed that when it in 1st gear the display goes to 2nd and back to 1st but nothing happens in the trans... then when on second, the same... the display shows 2nd to 3rd back and forth... Does anyone know what is happening???

I was kidding, they jerked me around about my clutch with that noise.

You should be able to get it fixed under warranty.
