Question The For Sale Section

Just browsing our for sale section and it seems dis-organized IMO. Other sites are a little bit more organized. Who agree's to splitting the section up a little bit more....such as:

-Bikes For Sale
-Gear For Sale
-Bike Parts For Sale
-Electronics
-Everything Else
-Cars

people can't even figure out how to put bikes in the bike F/S section. so if we add the other sections you want, i say a 1 day ban for placing it in the wrong section and making us mods work.

Not enough stuff out there to justify it. It'll end up with too many categories with too few items in them.

I'm with Ed on this one.
People don't properly use the 2 sections we have now.

in all honesty, when you click the for sale section, if you are looking for a list of threads, you don't see the bikes for sale section. when you click the for sale section, you should see two catagories, an everything else, and a bikes. Not a list of the everything else threads, and one link above for bikes. Did I make any sense?
lol

The way it is set up now, it is easy to miss the bike section. If when you click For Sale, there are multiple catagories, it will be easier to pick a catagory to put it. I honestly think your problem with bikes not being listed in the right spot is because the way you have it laid out now.

I agree, when I first joined the forums and looking for bikes it took me a few minutes to find the Bikes for Sale section, i kept on looking at the For Sale only not realizing of the sub-section.

A more detailed organization really isn't needed as this isn't that big of a board and not that many new For Sale items are added.

just my 2 pennies

MH is not ebay but we still sell stuff on here. Might as well be organized. And what does it matter not enough posts? I see enough thinngs in the for sale section that has a lot more threads than other sections. Might as well be organized IMO my .02

I voted no but I think a compromise could be made. Bikes for Sale(already there), Gear for sale(would be new), and everything else.

Any more categories and it would become a giant hassel for the mods.

Good thinkn pete. The for sale section is pretty cluttered. It would be much more convenient if we could choose a criteria that we are interested in.
