We both ride. She is still in the learning curve and we enjoy getting out and on the bikes.

You know I hear this age old saga of the girlfriend worries to much about the riding boyfriend, or vice versa in some cases. The way I explained riding (in respects to racing and the street) to my girlfriend, is the bonding and kinship that ALL of us as riders share together, I would not trade that for the world. My girlfriend shares no interest in motorcycles at all, she has ridden with me and watched the races once, and expressed no interest. That is fine by me I am not going to force her to like something. I told her that it's not always about her and that when I ride it is my time to let loose and let those primal urges go. I ride because of the energy that I feel when I ride and when I ride with others that energy grows. I don't expect her to understand why I ride and take the risks that I do while riding or racing, and I never will. I do expect her to understand what bonding and friendships are and that she is never going to take that away from me because that is what makes me happy.

I can't seem to find a limit for her... she'll ride anyspeed I throw at her and we have scraped pegs in the forest a week ago. I don't appreciate her taking pictures with both hands over 100; nor dancing on the back at those speeds but she seems to like it. She complained about the wheelie yesterday only because she didn't know it was coming but I knew she was holding on...

I was informed Saturday she was going to start riding my other bike so I may be able to breath a little more soon on my bike but I'm sure I will begin worrying more about her riding her own ride... Now you got me thinking....

Considering the majority of people I associate with ride, it's just sort of natural that I date a rider. The guys that don't ride don't have an issue with me riding, but they do get left behind when I take off on the bike for the weekend.

I REALLY laughed out loud when I read that. I feel for ya Brutey.

My GF (RBLCHIC) rides. I got her started last Christmas. Now she's upgraded to a 599. She's not down with rippin around, but she's getting over me rippin around.
I guess I wouldn't be real happy if she didn't ride, but it wouldn't bother me that much either.
