Yoshimitsu Fiberglass Race Bodywork

Just got my hands on some this morning from Jason (Riddler). He picked this set of bodywork up from Larry Meyers at MSR-Houston.

Although Attack Performance gets my #1 vote for race bodywork, this stuff seems pretty decent.

Here's my evaluation of it....

Price: $299 (i believe all bikes)

Quality/Fitment/Finish: They use fiberglass cloth instead of matte....which gives it flexibility. (i twisted the parts some to see if i can hear any cracking sounds, no cracking) The finish is decent, you can see some deep scratches, and some imperfections as well. As for fitment, Jason had to modify a SLIGHT bit on the upper, but said everything else was alright.

So compared to the pit-eck stuff......this is the BETTER option. Price is comparitive, the product is better.

So if you can't afford the Attack Performance stuff give Larry Meyers a call 512-297-5212, before you go off and order the ebay stuff. This stuff is great for the person lookin to save a few bucks.

Again, i'm not sure how well these crash, so before you go off and tell everyone my OPINION on this stuff, might want to check it out for yourself. I have worked with almost every fiberglass race bodywork out there, so my opinion is slightly educated rather than a guess.

I compared it to my busted up PIT-ECK and this is by far BETTER bodywork in my opion. Way more flexible. This stuff that Larry is selling for Racer Supply I think is very well worth the price.

whats the prob with HB's, thats what i got it hasn't been bad at all considering who it belonged to before me plus my 1 get off. hardly any damage and what little there is doesn't seem to be growing. I am however looking for a new set but not sure what ima go with or when i'll buy it.

If you saw the way the AK (or Attack Performance) fit that bike, you'd chunk it straight away.

The Hotbodies quality is also very poor in comparison, as well as the grade of fiberglass and resin.

Like I said about Pit Ek and others, sometimes a good one sneaks out, but the major majority is .

Your Hotbodies just happened to be one of the better sets that came out that year.

Here's some pics for old time's sake (this is Ronnie's, but yours looked exactly llike it):
