Saturday mornings wreck.

Early Saturday morning (4/5) I took a friend of mine, who just got his 06' 600rr Thursday. He had never ridden before, and this was his first bike.

The plan was to take him on a SLOW paced easy ride in the forest, just to get him to see the best part of riding.

I told him NUMEROUS times to take his own pace, and that the first turn I would hit hard cause its my favorite. I told him to do the posted spped limit 30 mph through it. In the original post I claimed I hit the turn at 40-50 MPH, after reveiwing the video, I accelerated to 80ish through the turn.

He claims he took the turn at 40ish, which I believe because I saw him go down in my rearveiw.

His story is, that he hit the turn and the bike slipped out from under him.

What I saw was him never turn, he locked up the rear, went straight crossing the opposite lane, then hitting the ditch low siding as soon as he hit the grass. The video is pretty much of the aftermath, him getting up and whatnot.

The forks, tripple, clip on and fork seals are fubared.

Im not exactly knocking you, but this is what happens when you take a newish guy out on a ride like this, you can tell them all you want to "ride their own ride" but in reality, they will just try to keep up.

Glad your friend is ok and can still ride.

I took him out there, because he asked. I new he would have gone out there on his own, that day!

I wanted to try to teach him te right way and blah blah blah. I do feel bad.

I took the "enjoy" part out. It was not appropriate.
