what is 85 (85%ethenol fuel)

i was at kwik stop gas satation in sugar land, and my bro was pumping gas it had a seperate nozzle for 85 grade, it was about 85 cents cheaper and smelled alot like veg oil and it said great for flex fuel vehicles anyone else ever use it? ever on a bike?

don't use it in your bike for sake! flex fuel cars only... it will eat up fuel hose and gaskets on vehicles not equipped for ethanol in that concentration...

waht are flex fuel vehicles? lol i aint using that in the bike mayn, only jet fuel for my bike

I believe some newer bikes might run on it not sure. It's cheaper, but you get alot less mpg. So it's a waste IMO.

E85 is an alcohol fuel mixture that typically contains a mixture of up to 85% denatured fuel ethanol and gasoline or other hydrocarbon by volume. On an undenatured basis, the ethanol component ranges from 70% to 83%. E85 as a fuel is widely used in Sweden and is becoming increasingly common in the United States, mainly in the Midwest where corn is a major crop and is the primary source material for ethanol fuel production; however as yet, there are about 1500 [1] filling stations selling E85 to the public in the US, and, until recently, only three in Canada[2], [3]

flex fuel cars can run both regular gas and e85.

man my bros van getting worked on his dvd player at a nissan dealership and they gave him a nissan titan to drive for the weekend and he put that in that bigass v8 lol think have any problems? its not his it belongs to clear lake nissan

should say in the owners manual if it a flex fuel vehicle or not.

Think u need to do better research bro They had this fuel for YRS back home and anyoine can run it. Its all I used to burn in my car...runs wayyyyy cleaner and much better for ur car...dont eat hoses or orings that a bunch of
