I had a black windshield on my bike, so I tucked mine down behind my guages on my windshield and I never had an issue with it getting wet or not working.

You must not have told them it was for a bike, huh?
For bikes they issue an old-style tag that's supposed to be resistant to weather. Stick it in a tank bag or jacket pocket.

I have the old version and it doesn't pick it up sometimes when it is in my pocket. The tank bag seems to work ok.

On the SV, the license plate relocation seems to work just as well.

yeah, i've got the old style - i keep it in my back pocket so i can pull it out and hold it up and some lanes STILL do not pick it up.

good luck

I just ride the lines thru the booth; if it picks up the tag cool, if not, oh, well!

And if I get pulled over for it, I'll just pull the EZ-Tag out of my pocket and say "and then?"

If the tag doesn't read and they get a pic of the plate, it just charges your account anyhow.

DO NOT carry it nor attach it to the bike. If you ride through a toll without going on the white line, they will take a picture of your tags, see that you have an account and they will just bill your account the amount of the toll

man, when I first got sown here and got my easy tag they were out of the little square ones and gave me the bar that mounts to a bumper, I put 50 dollars on it, and put it under my seat. I went through the tolls well over 80 times and when I went to get my new one the other day there was still 34 dollars on it, and they never once reloaded my accnt. so I got a ton for free. just a idea, and its there if u get pulled over.

If you read the fine print that came w/ the tag, you will notice they only give you one chance to "redeem yourself". It says something to the effect of the first time your plates are photographed they will charge your acct, but the subsequent times you are going to be billed.

*shrug* my buell never gets picked up at the gated ramps... i end up having to go around them... with the tag in my pocket

Ive got a newer one (sticker) got it on the windshield. This thread got me thinking about it. When i first got it (about a monthish ago) I went up on west park to test it and checked my account and I was charged for it. Since then Ive been on and off 8 and west park a couple times. I just rechecked my account and it seams to charging me correctly on the westpark toll way but not charging me at all on beltway 8. The worst part is I think Ive been unintentionally stealing from the drivers behind me on beltway 8. I always just pulled up really close to the gate and waited for it to open thinking it was taking a second to register and it has always opened i guess it was reading their tag :(
