That's a smoking deal on a mean street tard!!!!!! I paid 4K for my 525 (already plated) with 2K miles on it, I might need a 450 too. . .
It's too bad KTM is no longer importing the 450SMR's as of 2008 :( They're fuggin sweet!!!!

Greg, KTM has been around a while and have proven themselves on and off the race track. They were the first to offer a liquid cooled four stroke offroad motorcycle, first to include front and rear disc brakes stock on offroad bikes, first to offer hydraulic clutches on all of their bikes, and the first to offer a competition ready supermoto bike right off the showroom floor. I think they have the motard thing down by now. . .

Matt, nice fuggin choice bro!!! The SMR's are . . . Not sure if they continued the 6 piston front brake caliper until 2007 but this 525 will stop with a quickness, should make for a nice street legal hooligan ride. Don't bother with the flywheel and stator swap either, the stock 45W output is enough to run DOT approved gear(although the headlight in mine will be retrofitted with an hid kit soon). Keep your oil changed often and your valves checked every 2nd or 3rd oil change and that will last a while. There is a guy on ADVrider with 50K miles on a stock RFS motor and still running strong!!!! if you didn't know already, check out www.supermotojunkie.com for good info. One of the hawaii boys on that sight has a nice stunt ready 06 450SMR and he puts it to good use. Please let me know when you figure out a handbrake setup for it, I want one too.

BTW, I'm ready for the all motard hooligan ride!!!!!!!

And normal retail is around 7k, at least.

A motard hooligan ride will definitely be in the works when I get back

Thanks for the tips bro, and expect some questions from me when I get back about these things, cause I'm pretty new with the whole motard thing.

He paid $7500 OTD, i bought it from him 14 months later for $4000, but i couldn't find one this clean anywhere else for less than $5000 It was worth the drive to pensacola and back in 24 hours to save a grand and find a bike with service records from a reputable shop. I don't know why i ever rode sportbikes

And greg, if you have any questions on the KTM' me up, I really did my homework before i got the SMR and I know them fairly well. These SMR's are near race bikes with open MSO's so they can be plated. My insurance is $30 a month

get the number, call them up, pay the deposit, road trip!!!!! FWIW, all of the KTM tards have excellent reviews and a strong loyal hardcore following. These bikes will take a beating and keep on keeping on. 450, 525, 560, 625, 640 are all amazing bikes.

No I'm pretty sure there won' t be a dead line because we're having trouble getting it filled up. I pretty sure you can just show up at the track that morning and pay. It would be better if you signed up early but they've promised me they're not going to cancel the trackday just because we don't have enough riders. So come on down and talk to your friend about it too.
